Between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m., the Library will be hosting the
Warm & Fuzzy Petting Zoo on the lawn open to everybody, as well as an open
house for preschools and parents with children entering preschool in the Ames
Meeting Room. The Children’s Room will be making Mother’s Day daffodil crafts
all day.
The preschool open house gives parents an opportunity to
meet representatives from local preschools and learn about curriculum, tuition
costs, and enrollment procedures. As part of the Library’s 1000 Books Before
Kindergarten initiative, it is made possible by the generosity of the Groton
Education Foundation. There will be children’s activities and light
refreshments will be served. Children may register for the 1000 Books Before
Kindergarten program in the Children’s Room!
