Summer Events for Children and Teens

Weekly Events

Chess club continues all summer on Saturdays at 10:00am in the children's room.

Children are also welcome to join in the fun at Lego club Fridays, starting July 1st at 10:30am.

Please join us Fridays at 3:00pm for movies every week! July 1st through August 12th. Snacks from home welcome.

The summer reading program begins Monday, June 27th; One World, Many Stories has arrived at the Mystic and Noank Library!

Special Events

Looking for something fun to do? Take part in the highly interactive show "Songs & Stories, Cartoons & Comedy" with Keith Munslow on Tuesday, June 28th at 2 :00 pm.

Love bubbles? Pop over to the library to see, Keith Michael Johnson's "The Secret Life of Bubbles", Tuesday July 5th at 2:00pm.

Tuesday, July 12th at 2:00pm musician Chris Merwin will entertain us with his fun and educational "One World" music program.

Do you love animals? Come see animals from around the world when Curious Creatures comes to the Library on Tuesday, July 19th at 2:00pm.

Back by popular demand, Zach Ivins Magic will present"Magic and Stories from Around the World!" on Tuesday July 26th at 2:00pm. We hope you can join us!

Teen Events

Monday, July 11 at 2:00 pm our Monday art programs for teens will begin. Come create groovy peace sign crafts.

Monday, July 18th at 2:00 we will make garlands galore. Join us and make hanging decorative garlands out of wildly, colorful paper!

Teen Marker Madness: July 25th at 2:00 pm. Bring in t-shirts, book bags, tote bags, pillow cases, you name it! We will spend the afternoon drawing on them.

Friends and jewelry. Let's combine the two. Teens can come create Friendship bracelets on Monday August 1st at 2:00 pm.Join us Monday, August 8th at 2:00pm to make Friendship bracelets.

Teen Movie; come watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part 1 on July 12th at 6:30 pm. Watch this before the final movie installment of the Harry Potter series comes out!
