Fall Sock Fundraiser

The Friends of the Library will be taking orders for SolMate Socks, made in Vermont from recycled cotton. Infant’s socks come in sets of five; two pairs and a spare. Kid’s socks come in sets of three; one pair and a spare. Adult socks come in a traditional set of two.

Samples and catalog are available in the Children’s Room. The fundraiser ends October 26th with the orders expected to arrive before Thanksgiving. Each set of socks is $20.00, with proceeds going to the Friends of the Mystic & Noank Library.

Potions: A Halloween Adventure

Join us as we learn about the concept of matter, its three states, and how to change matter from one state to another all while exploring the tale of a secret laboratory. The performance will take place in the Ames Meeting Room on Saturday, October 19 at 7:00pm. The program is free and open to the public; no registration is required.

“With screaming quarters, jets of gas to taste, popping potions, incredible showers of smoke-filled bubbles, and buckets of fog, discover how all of this is created by the two “coolest” things in the world…Dry Ice and Imagination.”
