Join us with storyteller Carolyn Martino for Spoooooky Tales for children and grown-ups on Staurday, October 24th at 4:00 pm. Free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

Platemaking

October is platemaking month. Come in and design a beautiful plate!

Fall Storytimes

Registration for fall storytimes will take place the week of September 14th during normal Library hours. Storytimes will begin the week of September 29th and will last for eight weeks. Storytime schedule here.

Announcing our 2009 Summer Reading Program: Be Creative @ Your Library.
Be sure to sign up and participate in our Summer Reading Game, created for students entering first grade and up. Keep track of what you read this summer, and play our game each time you visit the Library between June 29 and August 1.
Also we are offering "Read to Me," a joint reading activity designed for children going into kindergarten and younger, along with their care-givers. Read together and collect prizes and stickers each week.

Science Club

Join us for science club for 1st graders and up on the following dates: Saturday April 25, 3:00 pm. "Something Eggsiting" and stunt planes presented by madscience on Saturday May 9 at 3:00 pm. Registration is required, class size is limited.

Draw-On

The Mystic & Noank Library is joining host Mystic Arts Center and other sites in the region in Draw-On, a week long event with "activities designed to inspire the creative spirit and provide unique drawing opportunities for all ages".
Drawing Wall - Draw on our collaborative library mural in the Children's Room every time you visit the library this week!
Bookmarks - Draw on a bookmark and take it home with you to use with books you have checked out at the library.
Drawing Station - Come draw and doodle all week long. Transform old catalog cards into works of art. You can take them home or exhibit them at the Mystic Art Center's one-night exhibit Draw-On, on Thursday, April 2, 6-8 pm.
Draw-On Visitor's Book - All library visitors can contribute a drawing or write down your thoughts about drawing.

Bedtime Stories

Our next Bedtime Stories will be held on Monday, April 20th, and Monday, May 4th at 6:30 upstairs by the fireplace.

Sit! Stay! Read!

Sign up to read to a pooch! A program for kids entering 1st grade and up. Spaces are still available for Saturday, March 21st from 10 am to noon.

Lego Donations

The Children's Room is looking for lego donations. Do you have legos you are no longer using? Do you want to put them to good use? We are collecting legos to use for future programs. Please drop off your donations in the Children's Room.
