February Children's Room Events

Our bedtime stories series continues February 8th. Join storyteller Rev. Barara Porizky by the upstairs fireplace at 6:30pm. Pajamas are welcome!

We've already heard from Puxatony Phil, but our weather reports show that Tuesday the 16th is going to be Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs! Join us for at 4:00pm in the meeting room for this 2009 adaptation of a great children's book (rated PG). Free! Bring your own popcorn.

Have you ever wondered, "Where do the animals go when it rains?" On Saturday February 20th at 3:00pm, you can learn about where animals hide in this interactive program presented by the Denison Peqoutsepos Nature Center. Part of the One Book, Every Young Child initiative sponsored by the Libraries of Southeastern Connecticut and the Community Foundation of Southeastern Connecticut. Space is limited, registration beginning January 29th.

Spring Storytime registration begins February 22nd. Registration is by lottery as class sizes are limited. Please register in person, in the children's room or by phone during registration week. The library will contact you by mail. Classes begin March 22nd and are 8 weeks long. Call, 860 536 7721, or come in for schedule and other information.
