Celebrate Earth Day!

Starting at 3:00 p.m., you’ll learn about the watersheds and aquifers that give us all our drinking water, as well as the pollutants for which we must always be alert. Find out about our shoreline and the plants and animals that call these waters their home.

“Protecting Our Waters” is an educational program brought to you by the Avalonia Land Conservancy. It is free and open to the public; no registration is required.

Remember the Earth that supports us!

Celebrate Earth Day at the Library

The Mystic & Noank Library will be celebrating Earth Day, April 22nd, with our friends from the Avalonia Land Conservancy.

Join us in celebrating Earth Day with stories, crafts, coloring, and recycled art.  Find stories and books that highlight the nuances of a fantastic world, from microscopic bugs to massive oceans. Activities appropriate for children of all ages will be available in the Children’s Room.

Avalonia Land Conservancy Inc. preserves natural habitats in southeastern Connecticut by acquiring and protecting lands and by communicating the value of these irreplaceable resources.

For more information, contact the Children’s Room at 860-536-7721 or email us at childrens@mysticnoanklibrary.org.
